In August the NUHSA board issued a letter to express our strong support for King County Council’s Motion 16848, which reaffirms King County’s commitment to welcoming and actively supporting immigrants and refugees. This motion is a testament to the values of inclusivity, equity, and justice that our community holds dear.
We respectfully request our partner organizations and local jurisdictions join us in supporting the county’s efforts to protect immigrant communities. It is essential that we stand together to ensure that no efforts to discriminate, harass, or imprison our immigrant neighbors are tolerated. By fostering inclusion, meaningful participation, and economic opportunity for all, we can build a stronger, more resilient community.
