The results of Tax Campaign at Hopelink Shoreline is in!!
In total, 19,900 tax returns were prepared– a 14% increase compared to last year. We helped low-income families draw down $27,200,000 in tax refunds, with $9,300,000 of those refunds coming from the Earned Income Tax Credit.
On top of that, we made over 2,000 referrals to additional benefits and services –a 48% increase over last year. This included over 900 referrals and applications to Basic Food and healthcare as well as over 250 credit reports pulled for clients.
