This year, NUHSA recognized many volunteers and their programs for making a difference in our community. Our guest speaker, King County Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) Director, Adrienne Quinn, delved into King County’s work on Best Starts for Kids which focuses on the preventative care for at-risk youth, prevention and early intervention for the age 0 to 5.
NUHSA was excited to announce this year’s Human Services award.
Sheriece Simon from Natural Leaders at Northshore School District won the “Volunteer of the Year” award. She comes from Natural Leaders at Northshore School District. She works with families and communities of diverse background.
