A FREE Skills and Resources Training for People on the Front Lines

Sept. 19 at Northshore Fire Department

We all want to be helpful, but when we don’t have the skills or resources, being asked to help by someone in immediate need can be daunting. In this FREE training, we’ll start with a discussion led by speakers from Congregations for the Homeless about how to feel safe, remain calm, be present, set boundaries, and work to determine a person’s need when approached. After that, we’ll introduce our panel, including speakers from Hopelink, Center for Human Services, and the Crisis Clinic, to discuss local resources and open up the conversation to questions from the audience. Attendees will leave with a new sense of knowledge and empowerment to make a difference in our community.
